City United Academy, was Created By Rick Hawkins and Eta Arrey, as they were looking to provide enriching after-school programs for urban youth in Kansas City. Combining soccer training, mentorship, and education. Alongside teaching teamwork and leadership, they also wanted to be able to offer tutoring, coding workshops, and tradesman skills to prepare youth for future careers. By fostering personal growth and community engagement, they ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed on and off the field.

USSF B Licensed soccer coach with over 15 years of experience, including 8 years in youth competitive soccer in Kansas City. Since 2012, I’ve coached across various levels, from toddlers to adult leagues, developing players' skills, confidence, and passion for the game. I’ve also led inner-city soccer programs and YMCA initiatives, using the sport to promote teamwork and personal growth. My coaching philosophy emphasizes technical skill, tactical knowledge, and mental strength, fostering a love for soccer while building life skills that extend beyond the field.
